2006 the World Cup

June 9 - July

June 10

There was no more time to enjoy India music and we rushed home. 7min after 9pm, I switched the World Cup on. England was supposed to play cool, but it was not like that. Disappointed after 90min game.

9pm England vs. Paraguay 1-0 Goal by Paraguay

June 11

0am Sweden vs. Trinidad & Tobago 0-0

June 11

9pm Netherlands vs. Serbia & Montenegro 1-0

June 12

3am Angola vs. Portugal

3 hours later, it was some annoyed to get up to the office. The guy gave me his work and then he was chatting with the others on the World Cup.
I ran away from that office sneakily and went home to lie down on the bed, with the phone switched.

June 13

3am Italy vs. Ghana

Awaked by the alarm, the dream was interrupted.

June 14

12pm French

After a so long time, my first time to see the French national team playing and Henry, my No.1 favorite player.
The team and Henry disappointed and annoyed me. Never dared to imagine what a game he could play like that. He looked like wandering on his backyards after dinner.

3am Brazil

I must be beat by the last game and fell into sleep very soon.

June 15

3am Germany vs. Poland

The best one I have watched. Especially the last 3min, additional 3min, Germany finally shot a goal, the coolest and overexcited goal.

Shouted, no doubt.

June 16

After work and English class, I went home to wait for the games. This is another existing night again, because having got so many goals at one game.
Argentina shot 6 goals at one game and then Netherlands 2 again.
Argentina played it and enjoyed every goal and every shout from the fans. However, Netherlands took it hard because the opponent was so strong not to be beat easily.
Anyway this was another sleepless night!

June 17 and 18

Watched two games and for sure they brought me cool moments. However it seems difficult
to recall some from my mind.
It is not easy day for me, but the good is I finally take my chance to express myself.
I am trying not to hurt anyone else, however it seems I did not do it this time.
I will go jogging this evening and wish the breezee could bring freshness and quietness for me,
even only for a while.

June 19

My Korean friend send me a short message on the goals of this morning game, French vs. Korea. And he told me he was waiting for the bus to Kunming and then to Xishang Banna with his girlfriend for a vacation. He was happy on that result.
I just dont want my heart to be broken once more.

June 20

The first free night for me since the World Cup started.
I went to see my friend and her daughter kept giving us the little raddles and telling us stories. Full of fun.
I still set the alarm to 3am. I switched on TV on time and 7min later the goal was shot by Tunis. I went to bed 8min after 3am.

June 20

The last group games started to shot 10pm tonight, Beijing time.
Germany gave the first exciting goal 3min later since the begining.
My parents tonight sat together to show their granddaughter, my sister's 5-year old daughter, how to paint a tree and how to write her name neatly.
That was a sweet scene for me and recalled what my childhood was to me.
If I did not finish all homework, from the school and my parents, correctly, there was no any possibility for me to go to bed, even I cried a lot and it never worked out.

June 22

The first time feeling sad to watch one team leaving the green field.
The game between Czech.slovakia and Italy just finished several minutes ago. It was not bearing to see the eyes of the Czech players.
It was indeed difficult to tell the feeling at that second when the final whistle echoed over the field.
Is it going to be happy on Italy won or be sad on Czech leaving? I have no idea.

June 24

France finally turned to be self and Henry shot his first goal. That was so great!

28th Aug. Chishui back to Chengdu

Aug.28,2005

Chishui is the home for bamboo and there are full of bamboos. The life of the local people there depends on bamboo. They build their houses in bamboo, and the furnitures and for sure the handcrafts.

Walking along the small street in Chishui City, I was asked to take pictures for some old woman and her granddaughter. When I finished and showed them the picture, someone asked me to take pictures for her. She told me she never took any pictures in her life and she was 73 years old now. Then I told her I could send her if she wanted. But she felt very hesitated because it would cost me. So she asked me if it was expensive and still didn’t want to give me this trouble. But from her expression, it was that she wanted to see her face in these pictures. It was her neighbour who wrote down the mail address and gave it to me.

I am sure how happy she will be while seeing herself in the pictures for the first time of her seventy-three years.

27th Aug., Chengdu to Chishui, Guizhou

Aug.27,2005

Because of being too hungry, everyone just rushed for lunch and kept eating with the best appetite. It is quite normal for travelers to be easier to have a satisfactory meal.

We went hiking to see waterfall this afternoon. It started raining. Because we were all the members of the big travel group, even without any flag, we were still told before hiking to come back in one hour. It should be impossible, but I did it because I ran back. Unbelievable! Impossible is nothing!

I changed my mind to go to the summit of the mountain and then went back. However I enjoyed the hiking very much since I met one young girl. She went to the scenery spots to collect the empty water bottles for her tuition fee. So I told her that maybe she went with me to the park lot to see how many bottles I could find out. But I was not sure and said to her there maybe only one. But she smiled to me and said “Even one, I will go with you”. So I got some companion to have a run.

When running down, she was concentrated on those bottles and it seemed that she had very good eyesight on them. Sometimes I went to the rubbish bins for checking and every time it was empty inside.

Luckily, I found out far more than 3 bottles in the park lot. That was really a good news not only for her.

Her name is Xia Jin and she will go to her new school in Sichuan tomorrow.

14th back to Chengdu

Aug.14,2005

Left to Chengdu at 6am, another bus was 6.20am. But it was always the same, the latter one would become the first one after departure. Unbelievable!

Fortunately, it was smooth to go back only with maybe totally one and half hour blocking. So I thought I was lucky!

Had to start work tomorrow, terrible!!!
